EFSA in Châtillens
Founded in 1954 by Pierre Favez, the company started its operation
with rail welding in the region of the Lake of Constance. Then,
under the management of the founder's son, Mr. Jean-Louis Favez,
EFSA developed its activities during more than 30 years, on its
site in Châtillens. With a production plant of 4500m2 and
some 60 employees, the company first specialised in the production
and regeneration of steel sleepers. Then, as from 1971the manufacturing
of steel drums for the transportation of cable was added to the
production range. In this field, EFSA presently holds an important
share in the European market. As from 2001 the management of the
company is assumed by the engineers J.-L. Monnier and P. Michel.

Tensol Rail SA in Giornico
Presently the company counts 95 employees, disposing of a founded
knowhow in the conception and production of railroad components.
Tensol Rail was founded in 1904 in the Leventina Region, by the
Tenconi family. This company always had an important function in
the development of railroads in Switzerland. After having belonged
to the von Roll group from 1996 to 1999, Tensol Rail joined the
TrackNet group. Presently the firm is an important supplier of the
Swiss Railroad Company and private railroad operators for track
components. In addition Tensol Rail enjoys a worldwide renown in
the field of rack track systems. The company is presently managed
by the engineers J. Marfurt, R. Ballina and Mr. W. Lehmann.
